Posts: 64 Group: |NG²| Elite Member #5 Joined: May 30, 2009	Well i don't think its any secret that at the moment our server isnt doing very well, and quite frankly we need to come up with some ideas as to how we are going to turn it around. so i guess basically this topic is a place for us to discuss the state of our server, and share any ideas for the server, because without communication, we arent going to go anywhere. the PAX advertising idea seemed like it was movin along but it seems like communication on that has, well, stopped. do we want to pursue that or not? its only, what? a month away? and yo bill wassup wit ur spah video? hows that commin? hope u havent abandoned it. personally id like to see more of us trying to get it populated, none of our guys seem to be willing to put in a little time to get it jump started when its empty. personally what i do when i join (when empty), is run the game in a window and browse the internets while i wait for players, sometimes it takes a while, but sometimes it only takes 5 mins, and once you hit around 6 or so players, the population usually explodes, and the server fills up. mainly this is directed at those of us who donate, because really whats the point of donating if we arent going to at least TRY to make this work. i myself have been slacking in this department lately, as i havent had a whole lot of desire to play TF2 the last few weeks. also i think we should reconsider alltalk, as thats one of the things that can set OUR server apart from the other stock rotations, besides, our clan has never been about "zomg tf2 is serious biz" and i think our server should reflect that. perhaps have one of the text messages that pops up in the chat every 5 mins that says something like "dont like alltalk? ask an admin to call a vote!" or something. so with that said, who has thoughts and ideas? i dont want my post to be the only one discussed, anybody who has ideas please speak your mind! and a side note, grave, what u up to? havent seen yo ass for a while Edited by Sephith, Aug 5 2009, 08:58 PM.

Posts: 12 Group: |NG²| Members Member #12 Joined: May 31, 2009	Ideas I've batted around are things like player of the week / month voting, or setting up a public steam group and scheduling events-- times when we know we'll have several NG2s to be in the server -- maybe can schedule all melee events or taunt kill only events or whole team as the same class events or something. Just some way to communicate with some of the up and coming regulars about when to be on our server. Or, heck, why not schedule clan events with our current NG2 group-- populate the server events or mini-skirmishes or something? Thoughts? Edited by ILL Antichulius Malkier, Aug 6 2009, 06:39 AM.

Posts: 12 Group: |NG²| Members Member #12 Joined: May 31, 2009	Another maybe fun event could be achievement events -- not for achievement whoring -- but everyone playing must be working toward an achievement they do not yet have. Actually now that I'm putting it to words it sounds dumb. I just know that I'll go onto a server sometimes to just focus in getting stuns on ubers with the bat or jarate and knifing people. Sure, doesn't help the team much, but I enjoy the grinding sometimes. Anyway -- ideas are ideas, even if they're dumb.

Beautiful. Posts: 98 Group: Admins Member #1 Joined: May 28, 2009	I'm about halfway done with the spy vid. I have everything I need, it's just a matter of me forcing myself to do it. The events idea sounds promising as does the PAX advertising. I'm honestly out of ideas but I'd be willing to help with other people's. On a side note, I'm not going to be around much this next week. I'm working the fair here and that's a 10:30 AM to 10 at night gig.
